Buttons in the Slums?

Postby 53TH528 » 23 Aug 2015, 17:17

So I've noticed some buttons, or pressure plates, if you will, in the Slums. They glow red, but turn blue when you stand on them. I saw a few of them, but when I try to toggle one of them the last one would change back. I tried using my decoy on one of them, but it didn't seem to work, although I only tried once and it's possible my decoy wasn't placed right.

Has anyone noticed if they do anything? Or do they all have to be pressed? Has anyone been able to do so already, and if not would anyone want to help me figure it out? Add me on Steam if you are interested: 53TH528

I haven't seen the buttons, but I'm pretty sure they raise these doors with the blue circle on them.

Ah, interesting. Is it the nearest door, does it change, or does anyone have a map of the door/button pairing? I've noticed these as well, but had no idea what they did.

A button opens/closes the nearest door. What caesar239 says is spot on!

I could be mistaken, but I believe that the Carrier can actually unlock the doors as well, using the Artifact on the glowing green light.

Careful, though.... It takes about as much light energy to unlock a door as it does to capture an objective, and typically leaves you highly vulnerable.

So yes the carrier can unlock door with the light, but nope it doesn't cost you any energy, it just because you don't move enough on long distance.

I can open two door and keep my way without my light even flash off. But it still make you defenseless because you aren't looking around you while opening it.
