Dev update - What we'll work on for the next two weeks!

Postby vogelsap » 24 Aug 2015, 14:20

Hey all!

First off let us say sorry for the state the game is in. We thought we were ready, but clearly we were not. Let us be clear: we will be dedicated to fix most game-breaking issues within two weeks. Thank you for bearing with us and sending us these bug reports. Please keep doing that :).

We’ll bring out three patches in the upcoming two weeks. One will be tomorrow for small issues. One will be before the weekend and the third one will be at the end of the week after. Hopefully most of these issues should be fixed by then.

This is not a 100% guaranteed, but we'll do our best. Let us give a rough estimated timescale for the issues we found:

Important bugs/issues:
- Black screen on match launch. - 3rd patch.
- Menu scrolling bug, in which the highlighted selection keeps scrolling down. - We have not been able to replicate it, but it’s probably due to use of unsupported controllers. No update yet on when we’ll fix that, but please use keyboard and mouse or xbox360 controller for windows.
- Game crash after black screen - 3rd patch.
- Game won't start with full lobby, keeps stuck at 60 seconds - 2nd patch.
- A lag spike that will cause the player to look in a different direction. - Lag spike is difficult to find as only a few players seem to have them, but we’re making sure that whenever it happens, you’re not facing another direction. ~ 1st patch.
- Windows 10 related crashes - We’re still trying to replicate the issue, no update yet. However a lot of issues will be solved if you update the driver of your video card or do a clean Windows 10 install.
- Players using the same router sometimes have issues connecting with each other - We have not yet found the cause of this, as we’re playing on the same router every day. We’re trying to replicate it in another house, when we can replicate, it should take just a few days to fix. 2nd patch.
- You can join someone else's tutorial - ~ 2nd patch
- On startup game you run into a timer which doesn't allow you to enter the menu (quick solution press 'E' and 'Z' at the same time to skip the timer). ~ 1st patch.

Bugs/issues:

- Switching to full screen mode doesn't work. ~ 2nd patch
- String not found (some sentences seem to be missing). 1st patch.
- Players are set on ready, but it doesn't display like that. ~ 2nd patch.
- Multi monitor support ~ 2nd patch
- Key mapping/controls not clearly displayed - 1st patch.

Also please keep sending bug reports to support@vogelsap.com. That way it's easier for us to find and collect all error reports. Thank you :).

Not agree with you, this game need more content and it's easy to see it. I'm agree with you on the part that this game is really a cool and good one, but this game still need more map with new type of game capacity and game mechanics on it, or maybe some kind of other gameplay/gamemode ? (not sure on the second one but sure on the first). Even with this bit lack of content, this game is still a very great one and have good capacity. So i really like it, and want to see what gonna happen in his future.
